Fallopian tubes are female reproductive organ that connect ovaries and the uterus. Conception also happens in fallopian tube. After fertilization, the product of conception moves through the tube to the uterus for implantation. Every month during ovulation, the fallopian tube carry an egg from an ovary to the uterus. When an obstruction prevent the egg from travelling down the tube is called blocked fallopian tube. This can occur in one or both sides and this is the cause of infertility. Usually it is asymptomatic. It is also possible for the tube not to be blocked totally but only partially. This can increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy.
